Lost my job...feel like crap

Im 18 years old and for the past year and a half,been working at the local Kmart.I was a hardware associate.Got fired friday morning because wedenesday night,me and a few friends kicked around a soccerball after the store closed.2 of us got fired and 2 got warnings.I applyed to many other places in the last 2 days.Autozone,Target,autobarn etc.... For the first time in a year and a half I have nothing to do all day.The really crappy thing is,I made good money and saved up absolutly nothing because it went towards my car.Mostly insurance and it broke down every week.I have like $200 coming in next friday (last paycheck).I need to save up for books when college starts again.I dont even have any gas money....this sucks....

ah man that sucks. just for kicking a ball around? why did two just get warned? im sure your'll find a job dont worry about it. i wish i could get a job but im too young yet. for the time being im a paper boy [img]graemlins/banana.gif[/img] but $400+ isnt bad for like 45 minutes of work everyday. ( more like 1 1/2 hours on sunday though ) if you cant find a job soon think about that maybe? its fun for me i get to drive my sister car, so thats good practice.

This kmart,is the worst thing i've ever encountered.I'm kind of glad I guess I got out.This just gives me incentive to find another job.The managers are all royal self centered pricks.They also all totally hate each other with a passion.I dont exactly know why only 2 of us were fired.We were all equally involved.No other past displinary actions against us.I guess they couldent afford to lose 4 people in one day.I assumed I was completly safe because my department desperatly needed me.I was wrong...

theres lots of other jobs out there. shouldnt take long to find one. can stores and stuff( jobs ) look at your school records?

They always ask for them on applications.Doubt they actully check with them unless your being hired for the FBI.Mine looks good though,put down I graduated high school and just going in to my second year of college.

just curious. my school record sucks. 16 days of suspension last year. im gonna be good this year though. you shouldnt have a hard time finding a job. good luck and remember intake/exhuast thread loves you. lol

Exactly what we use to do with our last 15 minutes of work after the store closes.We thought it was no big deal to kick a soccerball around.Only that next morning,the store manager just happened to glance at a videotape and saw us playing on cameras.....ghey....

Applying for unemployment has certain restrctions but I'm sure you can collect based on your tenure and salary you made which won't be much.
