I think I've seen video of one landing there before. I think the video was online somewhere before. Either way, those are some awesome shots, but I don't think I wanna visit that beach.

once in highschool we were paintballing in this like abandoned industrial area near the airport. I twas crazy how close teh planes got, easily could have shot them up with our paintball guns.


But eventually some dude came out and booted us.

i dont know about that. i lived next to the Dayton international Airport for years and they were loud as hell.

Even at idle, those engines are loud. Most jets carry extra power all the way to the ground, because at idle it takes a much longer time to spool up the engines in the event of a go around. Then once they're on the ground, they'll use reverse thrust which is pretty damn loud as well.

You would be surprised just how loud a large jet is, even on landing. ;)


I've seen vids from St. Maarten (the above airport) of people getting blown into the water from a jet on takeoff.

Plus that's a topless beach. :D
