...Since I have sat in the seat of an F-body that I owned. Most of the older people here know about the '97 Camaro that I had, and the brother that bounced it off a tunnel wall. Since December 17th, 2002, I have been without an F-body.
Until Saturday...
I am the proud new owner of a 1995 3.8l Firebird.
It has its wear and tear, blown head gasket, bumper damage (from the tow dolly, couldn't be helped), but it is nice. First car I ever owned that has T-tops. The temptation to want to drive it around is great, but with it not being registered yet, no insurance on it, and wasting probably a quart of oil per 2 miles, I have to let it sit for some time. Right now, give me some time to get that top end torn down to fix the head gaskets.
But this car isn't going to be my daily, at least, that is not what it is destined for....
This will be my project, a project that I have planned, put numerous hours into, priced out for well over 5 years. It will be the car that people have laughed about, told me that is impossible to attain, the car that will break the 10 sec barrier. I believe now parts are availiable, tuning products are there, and I have a few good friends that are helping in any way they can.
I want to thank everyone that has helped me along the way to this point, as well as the ones that have recently gained interest in my project. Hopefully, we will see this car at the track soon.
