Well, I have been at this position for about 6 months and am looking for some help. I went to the college I graduated from and attempted to get some recent graduates that are looking for a job. Found a few, but they either don't want the job or I cannot get in touch with them.
The perks of the job:
GREAT benefits (after 90 days)
401k that they contribute 20% into (up to a max of 8% of your total income or something like that)
Decent pay
Chance to move up with a great company that is showing no sign of slowing down (actually gained alot of business due to competitors dropping out)
An excellent step into the door of the design field handling all 4 major CAD packages plus some obscure ones
get on fv6.com while at work :D
the list goes on
Cons
you have to work at least 50 hrs a week (but usually 55 to 60)
I work 10 to 12 hrs a day and 5 to 6 on Saturday
high stress level
deal with people being obstinate and annoying and still maintain your cool
Work efficiently and fast when the workload is high
thats really all the cons I can think of, yet I cannot get people to hire on!
I don't know if it's laziness and scared of work or what!
I know when I just finished college and wasn't in my field I was pulling my hair out. And how hard is it to have an updated resume??!!
Well, if any of you on here have a degree leaning towards mechanical engineering and live int he detroit area post up or send me a resume cuz I am back to the drawing board with more resumes
seriously
I didnt know it would be such a pain
I thought for sure people would jump at the oppurtunity to get into an entry level position requiring no experience
ah well
maybe their hopes are set a little high
