I hate our gas guages. My guage starts to plummet after about the 320 mile mark and is long below empty at 380 but i know I can get at least 400 miles out of it if I wanted to.

And I believe we have a 15.9x tank

edit: it says on consumerguide that we have 15.5 gallon tank

I thought it was just me...after 200 miles BAM my gas gauge moves faster downward then my speedometer does going up and when im low on gas everytime I take a turn im waiting on it to sputter but it never does so im thankful for that.

"1999 Chevrolet Camaro: Traction control was a new option on base models and the fuel tank grew from 15.5 gallons to 16.8."

Found that online, so everybody was right. Anywho, yeah, the gas gauges are retarded in our cars.

According to the owners manual on my 99 Camaro the gas tank is 16.8 gallons.

Everyone should really read their owners manual, you would be surprised as to what info is in it.

It even tells you what to torque your lug nuts to (hint: 99% of service places torque the lug nuts way to much!)

You will be surprised how far you can go on E. They do that on purpose to scare you into getting gas.
