Yep, 1999+ was 16.8 gallon tank. It was less for the -1998 though. Just saw that earlier. I knew I read 16.8 in the manual before. Thanks for reconfirming it though, I didn't feel like walking out in the snow to get my manual.

97chevy, I just noticed 1998 Firebird W68 in your sig: you get too many cars to keep up with!!!! ;) I seem to be getting great mileage until the gauge reads about half a tank, then the needle goes down real fast!-Eric
2002 Navy Blue Camaro...Striped and Stalled. 35th Anniversary SS wheels
Best ET: 15.384 @ 88.32 on street tires
Project Whitney: Goal, 14.0 1/4 by summer 2008.

I've already experienced running on empty. I posted this too. Lucky for me I was already in my parent's hood. So all I did was push my car to their house.
One thing about 4th gen., when it say "E" it really means empty. The car will spunter and then die.
Putting gas and starting it up was difficult. You literally have to pump up the gas a couple of times.
Good luck going home though. I would definately call your wife though if I were in your shoe. Because I would hate to stall in the middle of the street. Pushing an F-body is no cake walk either.
