• Worked on a Accord today ....

No fair! Replace sparkplug inner seals, plugs, plug wires, valve-cover gasket, flush and change oil.... in 2 hrs (tops!) ... when the owner pulled it down off the ramps, he was already saying how much better it felt.

Notes: Still seems to have a strange transmission noise and the fuel injectors are clicking. Told owner to pay attention to where the noises are and if they're consistant. Treat with a fuel system cleaner and use mid-grade gas at next fill up.

It takes me a couple days to do that on my car ... because I have two more plugs? oh-come on! (laugh)

It's my first import experience, and frankly ... I'm not afraid to say that my inclination is to like this alot. :D

umm I think its that extra 2 liters that takes up sooooo much space and you can't get in there to work. hehe I wonder if the V8 guys feel the same about us?

My friend had a 2000 Civic SI. We could change the valve cover gasket in about 20 minutes because we pulled it off so many damn times :D

The plugs wouldn't even take 5 minutes.

I am assuming a 4 banger accord, you guys ever change the plugs on a FWD v6 car YOu have to remove the the upper intake and fuel rail on some just to change the plugs

heck my girlfriend's 96 2.2L Cavalier, I thought what a cinch to do plugs and wires, till I found out the ignition coil is between the block and the firewall, cannot get to it from the bottom because of the transmission pan I had to pull the upper intake and TB and even then I coudln't see it I had to do everything by feel. But I got it right on the first try, no mistakes.

but for what its worth I did plugs, wires, valve cover seal on a '00 hyundai accent for a friend and it took me like 25 minutes, bulk of the job cleaning up the hold seal.

Not if you have some aftermarket goodies under the hood to minimize on clutter. New headers definitely help, as was the case with my old 3.8L :D

I'm keeping my plugs/wires stock until me no sparky.

I remember when I first changed plugs on my old dodge shadow. It was like their primary goal on that car was ease of changing plugs...they lined em all right up across the front, was the easiest thing I've ever done on a car I think.

Changing plugs on a Neon is the easiest thing in the world. All of 'em right on top of the engine, nice deep well. Just pop off the boots, slip on the socket and out they go. Very nice... :D
