A guy at the shop I take my ride to at times says "It's unheard of" that I've managed to log over 25o thousand mi. b-4 getting the topend rebuilt. I'm curious because it doesnt shock me.

My Z28 had 42k on it when I bought it in Sept '03. Almost 2 years later it has just over 49k.

33K here. I save my Firebird for weekend drives. It doesn't make sense to waste a 200 hp car on a commute that goes no faster than 30-50 mph. Gridlock sucks. :(2001 white Firebird (completely stock)<br /><br />2003 Civic LX sedan for my daily commute. 115 hp (Yes, pathetic, but gets me 36 mpg!)Comment

But from what I have heard, the 3.4L in the camaro is the best and most reliable of all the 3.4L engines that GM produced.

~52k on my 3.8L
My 3.4L had 130k when I sold it nearly 2 years ago, its still on the road.
though I did have to adjust the valves on my 3.4L at like 115k to get rid of a tick.
