I was just wondering if there was such a thing as a Mustang GTS. I have seen several for sale adds for various mustangs called a gts. I was just curious what the difference there was and if it was even a real thing.

pretty sure the GTS was a Ford/Rousch thing, but they were REALLY rare. they had like 690hp at the wheels. i saw one once punch it from like 20mph and almost pull the wheels up.Comment

I have heard of a GTS before, it was a long time ago though. Something like a '94 model or something. I think I saw it at cars-on-line.com. I don't know if that is what you are talking about though.Comment

actually they did make one, it's called the GTS-V Type-R. It has the twin turbo rotory engine with high compression pistons. My best friend has a 5 speed 95 Mustang GTS. All it basically boils down to is it's a v6 mustang but with the v8 motor. It's a stipper GT with no options at all. They're a heck of a lot lighter than the regular GT and the only way to tell if it's a GTS is via the options list. My friend went 13.3 with a trickflow intake manifold, bbk cold air intake, bbk off-road h-pipe, flowmasters, and tokico rear shocks, on street tires no less.<a href=\"http://community.webshots.com/user/maniacls1\" target=\"_blank\"><b>2001 Firehawk #155 of 504 -M6</b></a><br />437 RWHP / 404 RWTQ -Dynojet (heads/cam)<br />12.34 @114 mph 1.7 60\' (bolt-ons only)<br />12.47 @116 mph 2.0 60\' (street tires, heads/cam)Comment
