Getting a new car (maybe)

Ive been thinkin of it like this, Ive been in an F-car since I was a little kid. My family has always been into Camaro's and more recently a sold 02 WS6 drop top. Then I got mine, so now that I have a change to get another car I kinda want to try something new. I know an LS1 would spank the 4.6, but Im a little bit tired of being in a F-body. Even though WS6's still make me go god damn thats a sick ride. But then again a nice WS6 runs a pretty penny. I want my car to have very few miles (30,000 or less). Mustangs with that many miles run around 16-19 for the 04 model year. Then a low miled WS6 or SS runs 20+ 25,000$ average on ebay. A Mustang seems like it would be easier to own, and probaly even a little less on insurance then a Fbody.

if you go mustang route, check out an '01 Cobra. should be able to pick one up with light mods (intake/ exhaust) and <30k miles for $16-18k. use half your cash as a down payment, use the other half for a Kenne Bell. 400RWHP/ FLAT 400lb-ft torque curve.

Got my 02 WS6 for 15,000.. Got my 00 T/A for 7500.. put my old WS6 hood from my V6 onto the 00 so it looks just like my 02..

Just an observation, but it seems the people who choose the Mustang GT came from an older V6 fbody. Its a no brainer that the GT is going to be the better car in that scenario. I'm just curious if the opinions would change if they came from a newer LS1 to a GT?

No way in hell I would, unless I wanted a car that was slower than dog shlt.

It probably would be alot different. I mean, the newest LS1 fbodies are 4 years old now. And the car didn't really see any changes from like 00. You can go pick up a newer GT for cheaper...

I can tell you one thing, I will be buying the new camaro.
