Beat the sh*t out of her ~10 year old daughter in Kmart.
The kid ran up behind her mother and went "Booo" in a playful manner. Her mom turned around, cocked back and slapped the kid across the face so hard it knocked her to the floor.
The store manager was following the lady around because I guess they she causing a comotion earlier. He saw it and went after the mom and had to pull her off her kid. My wife went and pulled the kid away.
The f*cked up part was the mom was still trying to kick her daughter as the manager was pulling her away. My wife called the cops once the kid was safe and the hauled they mother away in handcuffs.
I hope that ***** rots in f*ken jail

I was in Steak and Shake last night with a friend that helped me get my car from the hospital after I had another ER stay (17th time in 2 years, for the same problem). We are sitting behind a family of people, father, mother, and what looks to be like a 4 year old boy. From the start, the kid looks like he is nothing but trouble. He is crying about his food, throwing food at his father, spilling drinks on the table, and that was all within 5 minutes of me sitting at the table. Throughout the course of me ordering food and getting it, this little brat also has gone behind the counter where the cooks are at, and tugged on the waitresses apron, spilling all the straws and napkins she had. All the parents did was tell the kid to sit down, sit down, quit playing around, sit down, etc, while the kid completely ignored them. Once the kid spilled his drink for what had to be the third time while standing in the seat he was supposed to be sitting in, his mom yells "STOP IT AND SIT DOWN!!!". What did the kid do?? He grabbed a spoon, and THREW it at his mothers head from no more than a foot away. That spoon bounced so hard off her head that the spoon landed on the table ACROSS from me. The only thing that happened to that kid the whole time was that he was grabbed and forcibly sat down on his fathers side of the table. And when they left, everyone was a little more relieved.
NOW...after saying this, do you really think that simply talking to a child will work in ALL instances with ALL children? I don't really think so. I think some kids need the **** knocked out of them every once in a while, brings them back to earth. And I will say again, kids that simply play around and act a little goofy don't deserve to be kicked in the side for that, its the kids that bounce spoons off their mothers heads that do. There are times when you sit a child in the corner for things like going into a parents bedroom when told not to, or accidently breaking something, and there is a time to leave a red hand print on their face, like when they throw silverware at me.
But it all comes down to the parent. It depends on how well they are raising their kids and what kind of psycho s*** they have on their hands. From the few members I have met from this board, some of them have kids, and their kids are well mannered, nice, and all around good, and in no way have any reason to get hit. Sure, kids will do something at some point, and probably more than once, that they aren't supposed to do, but that doesn't warrant a good beat down. But when you are 10 years old, and you tell your dad to "Go F*** Himself", you deserve to get punched in the face, and I did, and I don't blame him one bit for doing so. </font>[/QUOTE]I'm all for corporale punishment for kids, but you should NEVER, EVER hit a child in the face, EVER.
A smack to the butt is more than enough to get the message across. What you saw is just plain bad parenting. The parents don't want to 'hurt their kids feelings' so they let them get away with everything.
