  • wierdest tire blowout ever

I got off work last night as usual, at about 0330am. I walk out to my car I notice that the back seat and trunk deck area are a huge freaking mess.

I open up the trunk and begin to investigate. The flap that covers the trunk cavity was pushed to the left and the cover for the spare tire compartment was cracked and broken, with a huge 12" hole in it. There were pieces of plasic all throughout the backseat and trunk area.

I removed what was left of the spare tire compartment cover and noticed that the spare had a slit cut in the sidewall. After shining a light on the tire, I saw that the ENTIRE TIRE was blown apart! From one side of the rim to the other, the tire was in shambles. The radial belts had snapped and everything.

About the time I discovered that, the heavy trunk lid came smashing down and just about knocked me out. It bonked me right in the top of my head. After regaining conscience, I investigated further. The shrapnel had bent the trunk shocks just enough to cause them to slowly leak when I opened the trunk.

At first I thought it was vandalism. But then I realized how stupid that would be. WHo the hell would pick my locks, disable my alarm, and break into my car to shove a knife through a donut?

I'll take some pictures tommorrow if anyone wants to see. Does anyone have some parts they want to sell me?

              Yes, it just.... exploded.

I was inside the building at work, and when I walked out to the parking lot, I found the remnants of the explosion.

              Wierd, huh?
