Think of it as a balls-out gungasm. Outside of the Sniper Rifle/M203/RPG, you get tons of ammo for each weapon and the game's set up to where "spray and pray" typically works out better than lining up headshots all the time (ask me how I know, lol)

Enemies can take quite a few hits, so if there's more than 1 enemy to fight don't take your time with measured shots, just empty your magazine, reload and move on to the next enemy. There's plenty of ammo to do just this.

BTW, played through on normal and beat it in under 7 hours of gameplay. However, I was moving pretty slowly/cautiously in most levels, so it's a pretty short game. Don't let this discourage you, since after you beat the game, you can go through that same difficulty level with the "Silver" guns, which have infinate ammo. Playing through with the silver guns is a blast. Sniper rifle and RPG makes things WAY too easy... lol.
