i can tell you why the expedition didnt slow down...he probably couldnt see you because you were tailgating the van in fron of you..plus, why should he have to slow down, he had the right of way(im assuming so correct me if im wrong)..not trying to sound like an *******, so please try not to take it that way. and i havent been in any major accidents in my car, but all the other accidents i have been in were when i was riding in a f-body..and each time, they have run off the road..my buddy and i wer ein his 97 T/A when we pulled onto a side street and a deer jumped out in front of us and we ended up in a ditch(i think there was dman near 3grand worth of dammage to that car.) and then the other time my buddy and i were in his Z28 and ran off the road into a ditch because he tried to look cool and break his back end loose and couldnt recover it. bgent the frame, cracked a rim, and did a whole lot of damage to the nose(not sure how much it was to fix, but it wasnt cheap). </font>
Technically it is my fault, I mean I got the ticket "Failure to yeild to oncomming traffic". &lt;--that is an embarresing mark on the record.

I just feel the other guy should have been hit with some penalty. After doing some resarch I found out that he broke a law that went something like this "Entering a intersection

I got hit with part A of this law, he should have been hit with part B.

21803. (a) The driver of any vehicle approaching any intersection which is controlled by a yield right-of-way sign shall, upon arriving at the sign, yield the right-of-way to any vehicles which have entered the intersection, or which are approaching on the intersecting highway close enough to constitute an immediate hazard, and shall continue to yield the right-of-way to those vehicles until he or she can proceed with reasonable safety.

(b) A driver having yielded as prescribed in subdivision (a) may proceed to enter the intersection, and the drivers of all other approaching vehicles shall yield the right-of-way to the vehicle entering or crossing the intersection.
Either way, Ive been paying for it for the amost 3 years(DEC 4)

A very interesting twist is that they change the turn signal type a few months later. Hmmm I wonder why...Maybe a green arrow that turns to a green light without a yellow or red in between is a little misleading if your not paying 100% attention.

I'll give the short version.

Tear through a tunnel going about 70, as soon as the tunnel exits its a 90* turn to the left. there is a guard rail over a bridge, and a HUGE tree, between the 2 is just about enough room for a metro. Lock the brakes and don't even try to turn the wheel as that would have killed us.

The 91 Mercury Capri I was driving ramps in between the guard rail and tree over a bank, smash into a huge rock, car teeters on this rock about 1 foot from flipping upside down into a creek.

Myself, and 2 friends walk away, my friend had a cut on his foot!

We were lucky!

the story is this...

I was traveling down the road behind a man in a 1991 bronco and a in front of him was a lady in a taurus. the taurus was making a left and turn into a day care, and the bronco went around her and so did i both going about 35 mph. I just so happend to look in my rear view and SMASH!!!!! a lady in an escort hit me at 65 mph (what she told the cops she was doing) and when the bronco heard it... he slammed on his brakes and locked em up... which slammed me into him. I was pulled out of the only door that would open which was the passengers side. then taken away in the ambulance. My Mom just so happend to call my cell phone before i was pulled out of the car... told my dad who was working 45 mins away from my accident. He arrived there in 30 mins (in the TA ;) ) before the ambulance even got there. I walked away with severe whiplash, hyperextended every muscle in my back, chest, and stomach. I still don't even have a figure on what i will be looking at from this accident and it's been almost a year. It sucked :( but this is how i got the GT

My 92 camaro wreck looks a lot like pewterbird's, http://invictussoftware.com/random/deadcamaro.JPG

I hit some ice, hit the guard rail, knocked down an exit sign, then ended up about 40 feet down an embankment. Amazingly I didn't even get a scratch on me.

Its been a year since I spun out on a busy highway and stalled. I still count my lucky chickens that the timing was just right and I didnt hit anybody

I've only been in a fender bender back when I had an 87 pathfinder. Some guy's riced out senior project car crashed into a girl behind me which bumped the girls car into me outside my old highschool parking lot.

She flipped it on its top about a 20 foot drop into the creek. She walked away without a scratch, cut, or bruise from the wreck. God was definitely watchin over her on that one.

I'll look for the pics later, but saturns back when they used to advertise their safety constantly . . . myself and a friend proved they wreck very well. He fell asleep at about 75 two ditches and about four trees later. . we both "walked away" I broke my sternum, he strained his wrist.

the worst wreck I was in was on my bike. Coming home on the expressway at about 3 in the morning. 3 lanes of traffic and another 2 merge in on the right. I was cruising at about 75 in the center lane when a woman in a brand new camry comes in on the 2 merging lanes just ahead of me, cuts accross all lanes for an exit on the left about a half mile down the road. I try to slow, but she clips my front tire with her back bumper as she veered accross the lanes.
I skidded about 50-75 yards and the bike goes about another 50-75 beyond me. Shredded a brand new pair of leather pants and melted the nylon lining of my leather jacket into my arm from wrist to shoulder. Also ground all the skin off both palms and burt a hole in each of my kneecaps.
I came to a stop laying on my back... just laid there for a moment and the woman dove up beside me and started screaming about me not watching where I am going.

That would have been one of those the ***** better hope I didn't get up. I had some ******* in a tahoe look at me in the face and cut me off one day. He needed a new drivers door after I got through with it when I got around him on my tank and kicked the **** out of it.

but back to the topic my worst wreck was I was on a highway interchange that was a big loop on my bike doing about 70 mph and hit some gravel. I dumped it slammed into the retaining wall moved a concrete barrier and then flipped in the air. I dislocated my shoulder and got bad road rash on my knee. My bike needed 2 new fairings and a set of forks. it would only make right turns so I had to have someone come get me. All I have to say is I was glad I was wearing leathers and a helmet.

If you got clipped on your front bumper, chances are you were in her blind spot. I'm not saying it was your fault in anyway. But you guys out there riding your bikes need to realize you're not as easy to see as you think and try a little defensive driving. You may be in the right, but you might end up dead in the right.

I know she never saw me, she just careened across 4 lanes. Its not like I came up from behind her when she put on her turn signal and merged left.

I was in the center lane of the main drag. She was in the two merging lanes... for a short while there are 5 lanes of traffic, then down to four.
I slowed as I saw her coming up the merging lanes, then started to shift left to the far left lane as I saw her careening toward me. Couldnt get out of her way fast enough. Only other defense I could of had was the steel cage of a car around me. Here is a diagram of the traffic pattern. She was headed for the exit to the left from the merging lanes on the right.
