The M4/M68 Weapons System. Brand new rifles, took them out of the boxes ourselves. There are many like it but this one is MINE! Seriously, noone else will use this rifle, it's sighted to me. New rules since the optics are sighted to their owners.

Took all day to fire since we did the full Tactical Rifle Qual Course and the M9 Qual Course (0730-2000 in the middle of snowy weather... brr). Burned up 160 rounds of 5.56mm Frag rounds and 90 rounds of the 9mm frag. Believe me when I say that's a lot of rounds to go through for military qualifications. Day burst, night burst, low light, NVG, gasmask firing... you name it.

The best thing about the military? Burning up the govt's ammo with new toys.

So... what did you qualify as, or is this something different that regular rifle proficiency qualification?

It's our new requirement as SF members. I've seen our rifle courses change, but we're now required to do everything that may happen in a wartime environment. It's a good thing, just takes forever to do the qualifications.

So, to sum things up, normal qualifications. I only scored 23/30, missed expert by two shots. Usually score expert on both weapons, but my eyesight's going to crap for some reason. Maybe it's my recent loss of 4 units of blood? I could just be getting old, due to overexposure to my Buick. :D

The only thing close to that is when I qualified on America's Army. That game is pretty cool though. It's actually made by the army and you will recognize all the waepons and the rail system add-ons. I can only dream of actually firing a real one! And congratulations on making Special Forces thats great!

Nope, not Special Forces, I'm only a lowly Security Forces member, I should have clarified that. SF (Sec Forces) is just a fancy term for Military Police in the USAF. I have NO desire to become Special Forces, because my wife would have a fit and I'd be away from her and my two stepdaughters all the time.

                  Anyways, I'm sure I wouldn't meet qualifications/standards to be Special Forces. ;)

I qualified 32/40. Got a nice little Marksman medel from ROTC.

Hmm, back when our AFQC was 40 rounds, we had to score 36 to get expert (I did multiple times, all in a row until this last time). You ROTC guys are so lucky. ;)

Yeah, I'm just stuck here at Buckley. I swear nothing ever happens here, outside of backoffice going into pucker mode when an inspection is coming up. LOL.
