Cobalt SS at NOPI, WOW!!

GM is showing off some of the power that 2.0 ecoteh supercharged Cobalt could do.

No track numbers but they did show a 272 SS that might go into production and compete against WRX and Evolution. 272 refers to the horsepower that it will produce.

Then tuners showed off a 500 horsepower Cobalt running on stock engine.

Holly, I didn't know the Cobalt's stock engine is that strong. [img]graemlins/rock.gif[/img]

My friend older brother had a SC Camaro SS, that thing was too much power to just sell off a lot. I think that car would have had more wrecks if they put SCs in them for people to just buy off the lot.

Why didnt GM turbo the SS cobalt? It could of easily competed with the SRT-4 in a straight line.
