• Phazer...

Thinking about getting one to cut down on tickets. I don't speed like crazy but on average I do 10-15 over at night (when I get all my tickets) when the roads are empty. Anyone have one of these or heard anything about them?

Trust me, enough tickets will get you to slow down. ;) I've never been pulled over for going 10mph over, so you must be doing 15-20 instead. Yah, that sounds right. Anyways, this should help you out a bit...

    PHAZER

I'm in CA, so I'm screwed if I get pulled over with one of those. However, if I ever felt the need for one  and got pulled over, I would just hide it underneat the seat or whatever, and put up one of THESE with some writing on it.

Haha. I read up on em a little more, I guess they're not as good as they claim, just gonna go with a Beltronics RX65 they seem to be good. I have been slowing down a bit, but I'm still stuck on the 10-15 thing.

Over the weekend, I went from Henderson, KY to Huntignton, WV in 3 hours 58 minutes, it's normally a 5 1/2 hour drive. I drive like that on the interstates all the time. Radar detectors can help, but I've found I do just as good without them. Just keep your eyes scanning for the police.

I haven't had a ticket in 3 1/2 years. And am now on Geico's preffered customer list

Last weekend driving back from Toronto I managed to drive 450 miles just under 6 hours. My average speed was over 75 miles an hour for the entire trip :D

Just keep an eye out for parked cars on the side of the road. It's really hard to get pulled over when you're just following the flow of traffic.

I had a phantom II, which is the big brother of the phazer. It does not work at all. It doesn't scramble or jam anything, and it's detection funtion is very poor.

I was thouroughly dissapointed with it.

One of the various reasons I drive like an old lady, now. No statement has ever been more true.

It actually extends the range of the radar gun. Any type of passive jammer isn't gonna work.

If you really want to jam radar, you have to fight fire with fire

I am thinking of getting one of these, but it would be ultra illegal in virginia.

Why would a radar gun be illegal in VA?

If you shoot your radar gun at a cop's radar gun, it sends a massive active jamming signal out. I'ts like two virtual buffalos butting heads in the air between your cars.

It would be very detectable, and obvious that you are trying to jam him. Why else do you drive around with a radar gun?
