Yeah, saw he was in his early 60's had to go through about 5 stories to find out what dropped him. Turns out it was a brain tumor or something. Meh. He's dead, people die. I'm not gonna shed a tear.

Don't get so happy about it. For every piece of sh*t lawyer that dies, there will be 50 more to take his place. The entire American legal system has already gone down the pipes anyway.

Don't blame Johnnie Cochran for OJ getting off. OJ was acquited because of three things:

1) Dreadful police work in the case
2) Dreadful prosecutors
3) Dreadful lab work and procedures

Besides Cochran did a lot more than criminal law. Look at the other things he did and it may change your opinion of the man.

Someone needs to police the police. Since the blue wall of silence prevents justice from taking place in criminal courts against rogue police officers sometimes justice can only be found in civil courts.

Just a form of checks and balances.

[/QUOTE]Helping homeless people and those people who can't afford a lawyer. He's done alot of charity works too. But ofcourse all we hear about are his dealing with OJ.

By the way, if you live in S. Calif. you know what a bad rap LAPD has. I use to workout with a guy who use to be an LAPD. I'm glad he got fired. The guy was a jerk in person and I'm sure he was an even bigger jerk as a cop. (No offense to other cops here who have better morals)

That sucks. THe world needs good lawyers.

Someone has to show District Attorney's what *****es they are.

I was following a friend of mine to his house over the summer. He was on a GSXR, and I was in my camaro. He squeaked his tires coming out of a red light, and I was following him. 30 seconds later, we were both getting hassled by the fuzz. I somehow got a ticket for street racing on a suspended liscense.

I paid a local lawyer $500, and he got me out of everything. I got to keep my liscense, which wasn't ever suspended, and I didn't get any tickets. I didn't even have to show up to court. Lawyers are good for you, especially if you are scandalous.

I read that these today about johnny cochran

"He also came to represent former Black Panther Elmer (Geronimo) Pratt, who spent 27 years in prison for a murder he didn't commit. When Mr. Cochran helped Pratt win his freedom in 1997 he called the moment "the happiest day of my life practicing law."
"He won a $760,000 award in a wrongful death lawsuit filed by the family of Ron Settles, a black college football star who died in police custody in 1981. Mr. Cochran challenged police claims that Settles hanged himself in jail after a speeding arrest. The player's body was exhumed; an autopsy revealed Settles had been choked."

I am not crazy about lawyers, but i think he deserves credit or doing some good.
What\'s her last name? I\'ll look it up.
You know I don\'t recall. Swim, Swammy, Slippy, Slappy, Simmons, Sommons, Swenson, Swanson?
Maybe it\'s on the briefcase.
Oh yeah! It\'s right here, Samsonite! I was way off! I knew it started with an S though!
