Ok i was really dissapointed about St.Anger like many others. THe one thing i loved about the CD though was the DVD that came with it and i was disappointed that they didn't just record the songs on that. They sound WAY better then the ones recorded in the studio. I love the song "Some kinda Monster". Anyway, then i got the new DVD and i have to say it's Awesome. The new one about their careers and stuff. Sweet as h**l. But what did you guys think about the DVD that came with the St.Anger cd and/or about the new DVD if you bought it? The st.anger cd did blow chunks but i have to admit they were at the top of their game when i went to their concert last november. played almost the whole black album plus a new one. awesomeness. the saint anger dvd was better than the cd which to me is not a good choice.

      I like them seen them like 4-5 times(even got a drumstick at a concert0 ;)

Either way, St. Anger was ok, didn't think it blue chunks just a little different, definitely not their best.

Haven't seen the new DVD but I heard it was pretty good from a co-worker, says its got clips form a concert me him and some girls went to awhile back.

I saw them for the Master of Puppes tour in 1987. I saw them for the Damaged Justice (and Justice for All) tour in 1991. I gave them the benefit of the doubt when the so-called "Black" album was released. When Load came out, that was it -- this Metallica isn't my Metallica. I'm sure a lot of you younger people like the crap they're putting out lately, but I don't. Call it a generation thing, if you want. This Metallica isn't my Metallica.

Metallica still need to learn though.

I wouldn't even pirate their music now.

I saw something on MTV I think it was, saying that suing their fans majorly affected their sales. Duh, You don't attack the hands that feed you

Nah, their older stuff was by-far their best music. After Garage Days Re-Revisited came out in 87, they lost my attention. I saw them in 84 and 86...when they weren't glam! I always give them the benefit of the doubt when they introduce a new album/cd. I'll listen to it over at my friends house which is a diehard fan, but I think St Anger absolutely BLOWS! My friend is a major fan, but he didn't like it either. I like their classics; Kill'Em All, Garage Days Revisited (original), Ride the Lightning (the BEST one ever!), Master of Puppets, and that's about it.

i am too. I don't exactley LOVE the St. Anger cd, but when i saw them on the Summer Sanitarium tour last summer it redeemed them. They are AWESOME in concert

all i grew up listining to was metallica and nirvana pretty much. IMO ST. Anger sucked, it almost had me in tears. but as we speak im listing to Ride The Lightning cd. i still listin to them quite often, now as for the st.anger cd i trew it out. i listined to it 3 times ( the whole cd ) thinking it would grow on me a little, but it didnt,it was horrible.
