  • Getting a new F-Body

I am in the process of buying Nachius' 96 Camaro. I will be flying to Ohio to pick it up April 30 and drive back home that evening. Then on Sunday May 1, I will see what kind of numbers it can run in the bracket points race at the local strip.
This is what I got for $4300
    1996 3.8 V6 A4 Camaro
    Red
    manual everything (windows, locks, seats)
    Just under 61000 miles
    Windows tinted 20% all around
    Blackouts all around
Blaupunkt Key Largo CD head unit
    Sony 6.5s all around
Manual Fan switch (codes have been disabled via HPTuners)
    SLP Intake
    RKSport headers
    Catco 3" hi-flow cat
Flowmaster 3" catback w/ chrome turndowns
    3.42 Gears
    LSD
    Lakewood Boxed Lower control arms
    ES poly torque arm bushing
    ES poly tranny mount
    Aluminum Driveshaft
    NGK TR6s
    Taylor Spiro 8mm wires
Tranny was completely rebuilt with high energy components (kevlar, carbon fiber have receipts, shifts fairly hard)
    TransGo shift kit
    Corvetter Servo
    Yank 2800 stall Converter
    Flex-a-lite Transmission Cooler
97 PCM Programmed for 3.42s and tire height, fans come on earlier, disabled fan codes and post cat O2 codes, have not touched A/F or Timing.
    Walbro 255 In-Tank Fuel pump
Have most of the stock parts still, will be included.

Yep folks, looks like I will be back in an F-body.

Ummmm not quite sure. Shane said he didn't get a chance to get a good run in because the tranny messed up with a 3500 stall. Thats why the tranny was rebuilt with a smaller stall.

thats a awesome deal, especially with the low miles! it's hard to find a 10 year old car with less than at least 80k, minus the granny cruisers.

Sold my '94 last year with 53K on the clock. Dealership actually gave me a good deal on the trade in value.

                    Yea I hardly drive it.
Never got to the track with current setup
I've been through a LOT of converters. Just bad luck with defective one's both places I purchased them from said they were defective and I was issued a refund the first time and a new converter the 2nd.

It was 15.9 stock with 3.08 open rear
15.6 w/ intake/exhuast and a broken stall converter than hung at the top of every gear
I shredded a PI Vig 3500 on the way to AIS2 which in turn damaged the tranny.

Now tranny is completely rebuilt w/ Yank 2800 stall. Kevlar and Carbon Fiber Hi-energy tranny components.

I expect it to be WELL into the 14s with a sticky tire, but no track times to back it up.

I wish Evan the best of luck with my car and hopefully he sets some records.

I will miss it and I gave him a good deal, because I know how life can give problems and I wanted someone buying it that would treat it right.

I would have asked $6000 on autotrader.
