Anyone here tried sea foam in their engines on here? I heard its good for cleaning the carbon out of cylinder heads, piston chambers, and fuel injectors etc. On the back of the bottle, it tells you two different ways to put it in. You can either put in into your oil or your gas. Im not really sure which to put it in. The can is one pint and im not sure if it would have an adverse effect on the oil in the motor. I wanted to put it in the oil because it claims to clean rocker arms and seems to focus on more important things in the motor. Anyway, if anyone has any input or tips when using Sea Foam let me know.

Nope, don't believe I've ever heard of anyone using it.

Try a search in General Tech. There's 100s of posts about it, most of them locked because it's talked about so often.

Make SURE you don't use it in a garage! It will smoke like a SOB and neighbors will call the fire department! Stuff works though.

There's also a "3-point" method of doing it. Take 2 cans, put 1 can in your empty gas tank right before you fill it up, put 1/2 can in your oil, and pull your brake booster hose and let it suck up the other 1/2 can while the car is running. It will take some practice with this because if it sucks in too much at once the car will stall out. I did mine that way at 100K miles, and it ran like it was brand new after the smoke cleared...lol Also, you'll need to change your oil 500 to 1000 miles after putting it in there. Hope this helps.
