winters rest and then no brakes???

So my wagon has sat most of the winter. No plates.
It is getting close to the big thaw and I wanted to move it before the yard went to mud.

So after getting it out of the rust it was in. I found I had no brakes. Ended up on some ice [new it was back there] and got stuck again.

Just got it un stuck and re stuck in the same original spot. but still had no brakes.

As I was jacking it up 900 times to un stuck it.

I could not find any fluid leaking. Master cylinder was full. But pedal goes to the floor and it needs pumped several times to get a tad bit of pressure.

so anyone ever have this happen on their GM car???
Seams strange. Most everything is pretty new. Car does sit often, Its a pig on gas.

Sounds like you might need a new master cylinder.

Hmmm can they go that easy??? Id say its only 3-4 years old but probably not even 2000 miles driven on the car.

wonder what kind of warranty sears gave me on it. Mileage or years.

I had them do it as it needed lines n they were a PITA.

Try bleeding the lines. Could have gotten some air bubbles in it from sitting.

Do you hear what could be an air leak sound coming from under the hood when the car is running? If so it could be a leak in the power brake booster. sometimes the rubber seal on them will crust up, get hard, and crack when the car sits for a long time. This happened to my firebird when it sat for a year and a half.

Ya know that is a common problem with this car. Lots of parts wore out just from sitting, and not being used.

Rather then being worn out form use.

Car still has low original miles.
It sat most of its life.

One of the sweet deals. From an old guy down the street who only use it to pull his boat a mile to the public dock n back.

Got it for $800 with 68,000 on the clock.
