  • What would you pay to have a shop swap motors?

    Im just to lazy and dont feel like renting lifts and junk to swap my other motor in....so what would you pay a shop to replace the 3.8 minus the turbo kit?

    1995 Firebird A4 3.8 Turbocharged -- 12.50 at 108
    (If you dont know me, you haven't had a V6 long enough)

    bring it to h town we been known to pull a motor in less then 3 hours and puttin another in shouldnt take no time either

    umm i wouldnt pay more then 500 bucks maybe if you have everything like the fluids and all

    not hard just a little time consuming mostly.

      Yep i am too, dont have the time with work and its a brand new motor from scratch, and dont have the tools, and all the knowledge for all the clearances and what not..

        I don't need no stinkin shop.

        even in the T/A, just used a block & tackle to swap engines.

        Overall it'll be a debate over your time/tools vs. a shops speed & big $$$ to do it.
        The bastardification of Third & Fourth gen cars.
