so im on my way home for my lunch break..not speading or anything just cruisin with traffic in the middle lane..this cop pulls me over for not having a front plate..like i give a crap..what pissed me off was that he says "whyd you move to get off the exit right when you went by me..sort of trying to get away"..i say to him.."first of all..i didnt even SEE you..second..i moved from the middle lane to get off the exit because im GOING HOME"..this was before he looked at my license to see my address..he didnt say a thing so im sure he felt like a moron..anyways..on to my question..i thought no plate used to be a "fix it" ticket..this ticket doesnt say anything about that???

Yeah I guess it does depend on the states. But I've received so many warnings about not having a front plate. I just ignore it. Pretty soon, one of the cops I ignored will bite me.

Anyway, I see so many cars, trucks and SUV's, especially Corvettes, without a front plate.

You could actually take it to court, if you want to go through the trouble, and show the judge all the Mercedes'/Lexus'/Corvettes/BMW's/etc that come off the factory line with a filled in front plate braket. There's even some that don't come with the bracket at all. That's what I did, and the judge reduced the fine to a fix-it $10.

Its stupid here, I got pulled over for not having a front plate just b/c it was quota time. I drove around with it off for so long, not a thing. Then, just b/c they have to reach a goal, I get a $60 ticket.

Wow, it's the "Ticket Quota" theory again! Amazing how these things persist. You know why you got a ticket, Jr.? YOU BROKE THE LAW! Pretty hard to comprehend, hmm? If you drove with it on, you wouldn't have a ticket. Ignorance of the law is NOT an excuse. Sheesh, I give up. [/net and common sense nanny]

Bah, its common sense the police anal-ness goes up the last 10 days of the month
They do have quotas, in one form or another, my brother saw it with his own eyes inside a Highway Patrol station.

I got pulled over for no front plate before too, and it was just a fix-it ticket... I think if you don't fix it they fine you.

95Bat,
I was just saying it wasn't 'cause of the cops he got a ticket, it was because he was in violation of the law. Sorry, I was tired when I wrote that, I needed some exitement to wake me up the rest of shift, lol.
