Some of you know, that I'm starting my own wedding video production company. Well, the I was talking to the DJ we hired to do our wedding about it and he wants to contract me on as his videographer. [img]graemlins/banana.gif[/img]

This is an awesome opportunity for me, because this guys company does 50+ events a month. They aren't all weddings, but if I can just get a 1/4 of his events, I might actually be able to quit my POS job sooner then I thought. This fuggen rocks [img]graemlins/rock.gif[/img] :cool:

What hardware/software are you using?

Here at work we have a local TV show called ITV(inside the valley)

They use canon GL1s and final cut pro on dual 2.5GHz G5 macs.

I just bought a used GL2 off ebay for $1,700. And I have a older Canon Ultura that I'm gonna be using for a static wide shot. If I'm gonna be doing a lot of weddings, my next purchase will be an XL2.

I have lifetime access to the Final Cut edit suite at my old school, so I'll be using that until I have enough money to buy my own final cut machine. It's probably gonna be a little bit, the price for mini-dv VCRs are like $1,500 ontop of a G5 and a second TV :eek:
