Zip ties worked fine for me... whats with the influx of people that cannot hook up plug wires recently?

well, i need boot covers. the problem is that if i angle it up, it touches the header, then theres a bolt in the way and i cant get it on all the way, then theres the block on the other side it touched then another header. if i turn it down the wire touches the header when i try to bring it around and i cant zip tie it to anything that i can tell cause theres only the header, egr tube and steering linkage.

I have a wire that's been burned through for a couple of months now. It was laying on a header lol. As long as I keep it away from metal it doesn't jump and I don't get a misfire lol.

Even funnier, all my wires cross at one point and none of them are held in place by anything lol.

Haha for awhile I had a wire resting on my alternator belt. The wires are one of those things I was going to fix the day after I finished my header install and never got around to buying the stuff I needed to mount them correctly.

                              I used straight boot MSDs.

1000* MSD heat sheathing from summit. 6 ft. roll.

                              1 ft per wire.

I put the sheething on put the stock boot protectors on. The sheething is stiff, I run all the wires pretty much straight away from the motor and loop them up and over the top of the motor. to the Coils.

No problems, only thing that they come near contact too is the top of the intake manifold.

only zip ties are the ones at the end of each piece of heat sleeveing to put it on tight. And I covered them with the black wire cover tubing generic under the hood.

www.summitracing.com has pretty good prices. just search for 'fire sleeve'. you can get a set of 8 (tay-2524) for $53. you can trim the metal rings out of the two extra sleeves and use those somewhere else along the wires for extra protection. the 500F sleeves are a bit cheaper ($42). summit also has some heat shield tape, THE-14002, for $15. more useful for wires other than plug wires though.
