digital compass on review mirror

Wasn't sure where to put this so I'll toss it in here. I was wondering what year Chevy put a digital compass on the rear view mirror on the Camaro or if they even did? And if they did is it at all possible to change the one I have my 94 Camaro and make it work?

I don't think I have ever seen one in a Camaro. I havn't been in to many newer ones though.

There's never been one in a Camaro as far as I can tell, but I think the wiring harnesses for the rearview mirrors on all GMs are the same, so you could probably swap it out and plug in your existing 12v to it. You won't have the little map lights anymore (unless your new mirror comes with them) if you do this.

Yes... you can swap it for a mirror out of a Silverado and it should work. Was thinking about doing it once too, still might eventually.

I just went to Wal-mart or somewhere like that and bought one of the compasses that you stick onto your dash or windshield for $3.

I don't like those they are always ugly and just look out of place. I'm trying to keep my camaro looking stock both exterior and interior.

I saw an A-pillar compass once. It was pretty neat.

Yea I've always needed to know what direction I was going. Ya know.. so when I'm off roading in the bird,the sun has already gone down, and there are no road signs. I can find my way back to civilation. [img]graemlins/rofl.gif[/img]
