• Almost passed out doing legs

I guess a combination of high stress, lack of sleep, and poor eating got to me. It got me in a bad way, esp. on leg day.

Working out legs is alot more tougher than any bodyparts. Yesterday, I was getting dizzy alot from squats which was the start of my workout. Then I moved on to hamstring and by the time I was doing calves I wanted to call it quit. But I was determine to finish it.

When I was done, I just sat down for the longest time trying to catch my breath and letting my body cool down. I was covered in sweat and I got this feeling of cold and hot at the same time. I was also trying to prevent myself from slouching down and passing out.

I went home to rest up. Later during that day I got a nasty muscle spasm right on my lower back and it pulled my butt and shoulder back. Hurts like heck and still hurts even today. Right now I reek of Bengay.

That happened to me at the gym one time!! I guess when you are doing squats your blood is rushing from your upper body (and head) to your legs and that combined with the "up and down" movement makes you dizzy. Luckily for me, just before I blacked out, I found a bench to lie on...before coming to again..a guy I knew there was a doctor and took my pulse and just told me to rest a little and have some water

i'm just saying... the couple of times i felt really and truly "bad" after/while lifting was because i hadn't had enough over the last few hours to keep my blood sugar up. it's really scary, especially for somebody like me who has never had health problems, not even a broken bone or a cavity...

i don't know why i didn't figure this out on my own either but my doctor also told me that drinking milk as much as i do (2 gallons a week) will cause excessive soreness as well as calcium deposits on my spine!

I'm sorry i couldn't resist To anyone but a personal trainer that would have been a perfectly logical answer, but Thor lives this stuff!

That's why I don't usually do legs that often. My wife always rags on me for it (I'm gonna have a big body and chicken legs), but I double up on chest instead

hmm... wierd were you a little dehydrated? Too busy and skipped a meal that day?

I know what you mean about legs... When you get real crazy it will feel like you are just gonna pass out. if I don't feel 100% when I go to do legs sometimes I switch it up to the leg press. ITs not quit as good of a workout as a squat imo but its safer if you get a little lightheaded.

I used to sit awhile use it as a little "rush" and try and pysch my self up for the next set whenever I got a little lightheaded from legs.

If they made them much lighter I might do it

Im just the opposite. I can go crazy on legs and squat insane amounts (for my measly 135lbs) but completely burn out on the bench. I avoided bench presses for a long time cause I was kinda embarassed about how much I could put up...which really isnt fair I guess since all the guys at the gym have a good 50lbs at least in body weight on me to begin with. Guess its cause I was a long distance runner for such a long time.

i dont know if you know this or not but if you do a hard leg workout your upper body will get stronger. The hard workout makes your body release more testosterone hence making it possible to work your chest harder.
