Senior Exit

I dont know if you guys had to do a senior exit paper in high school, but my school started it and its pissing me off. I have to write a 6 to 10 page persuasive paper on something, and I cant think of any topics. I really want to do something relating to biology, just so i dont get bored, but i cant find anything that i could cover in 6 to 10 pages. Could anybody shoot out some ideas?

if you're into bio, do something about biochem weapons. Take a stand on something. 6-10 pages really isnt that much. Wait till you get no page limit... which translates to "you better write a book or I'll fail you". yes college is still fun

we did controversial topics in college
our first session was brainstorming topics
here is a few that we came up with
euthanasia (my second choice)
gay marriage (my first choice)
abortion
the child abuse laws (too strict, or not enough?)
Government involvement in lives
Patriot Act
Retribution to African Americans
Stance on immigrants
sub topics on that
*illegal immigrants and drivers licenses
*the immigrant work visa program
*security of our borders

the list can go on and on
there are MANY topics out there, and I am sure you have stance on most of what i have listed [img]smile.gif[/img]
and if you have a stance on what I listed, I guarantee someone else has the oppostie stance ;)

Actually, euthanasia sounds really interesting. I just need to make sure everybody else in the school isn't doing it and i might have to narrow it down a bit. Is euthanasia really popular?

As already stated, pick a hot topic and write about it (i.e. the benefits of hybrid cars - real or made up). On the web, you can find tons of info on any hot topic.

Ten pages is nothing, dude. I am on page 12 of my Ph.D. dissertation which will be about 120 pages when I am done. I wish it was only 10 pages. :D

current event usually makes it better.... but its harder to BS the topic.... do a deep investigation on FEMA or something about the hurricanes and LA

We had to write a senior essay. I didn't do it. If I were you I wouldn't bother with it. It's not like they can fail you off one paper.

That's different. We had a senior project, that we were allowed to pick the topic on (had to be something you've never done/knew little about). I did mine on building a computer. A ten page paper shouldn't be hard at all, just time consuming. Make sure you don't put it off till the last moment and have a ton of work to do the day before you have to turn it in
