Anyone getting annoyed with the newer cars comming out? I never thought I'd say it, but it just seems like they're going overboard with the high HP cars.. Like the damn GTO, 400HP? And all these other cars, like some of the the caddies now that are pushing insane numbers. I miss the days where the LS1 Fbod's were pretty much top of the line (Affordable range anyways) with 310hp. I just feel like I'm gonna be putting so much money into my car just to be keeping up with newer stock cars. Anyone else feel the same way, or is it just me?

I kinda like it.... because they're doing the same things with trucks
It won't be long before they offer trucks with 1000ftlbs of torque right off the showroom floor

Q. Why did the Firebird/Camaro die?
A. The younger generation in general can't afford high priced cars and insurance. GM wised up and learned the market for these cars shouldn't have been aimed at young people. The older generation wasn't interested in buying them.
Q. Why are companies pursing Cadillacs and Mom cars?
A. Older people want these and they can afford them. Hence the reason GM is putting more and more money into grocery getters and Grandpa cars.
And that folks is why the Ford Focus and other 4 bangers of its kind are selling like crazy to younger people. 16-25 year olds can afford the car and the insurance. The days of fast cars for young people, in general, are gone, that is unless some regulations are imposed on insurance companies.
This is only my opinions though.
