pissing rain, little breezy but nothing I'd even consider tropical stormish, just a bad storm.

Light rains falling now; winds continue very strong; power is flickering.

            yay!

get to go to south florida, my parents place is messed up. few big trees fell over, I am talking trees that survived Andrew(but were smaller) water softener got ripped of the side of the house, so house has no water, and our pool enclosure is gone, hear 1/4 in the pool, 1/4 in the backyard and other half in the front yard.

and our fence is down too...

              That sucks good luck.

We hardly got anything here, mostly rain and a little wind. Nothing like what we got from the 'canes last year.

well.. im posting from home with the help of the lovely generator.. i live in broward county. what a freak'n hurricane!

pretty much all trees have been knocked down. Powerlines are non existant and well... that pretty much sums it all up. I have seen roofs half ripped off, cars windows shattered, and even a SHED in a tree.. yes.. in a freak'n tree about 10-15 ft up. not fully in tact.. but at least half of what was left of it.

Pompano beach got it the worst with 105 mph sestained winds and gusts reaching upward to 125mph.

here in sunrise/lauderhill we had about 90mph sestained winds and about 105 mph gusts..

this will be a nice long month thats for sure.. no electricity sucks... and gas is a very valuable resource thats for sure

Last year I was without power for 11 days 2 seperate times, plus another 4 days. You've got it a little better, though, with the cooler weather. The generator will really make life easier.

I just got back, I was down there... half diassembled/pulled my screen out of the pool, chopped up the trees and started tarping up the roof. My parents need a new roof.

ugh they are gong to be so screwed for power, our neighborhood is always last ot get power.

easily 15-20 light poles need to be replaced, just in our little neighborhood before my parents get power.
