all right, i'm getting $672.15 for a new hood. that's what GM charges for the OEM hood on the 93-97 bird. but i can get any aftermarket that price or lower... or higher, if i pay the difference. anyway... where can i find hoods? i've found a lot of sites with hoods, but i'm still looking for some more options. if anybody can throw me a couple links, that would be great. thanks.

just pay the extra difference and get an aftermatket hood. i have the suncoast predator hood on my car, it was one of the best investments i did so far. check out my website for pics.

Your insurance screwed you. That is the cost for the new hood but not to have it painted to match.
I'm assuming their hoods don't come painted like the other body pieces I got replaced while it was under warranty (had to wait longer so they could get the pieces painted before they put them on)

i want the big block hood a lot and i want the predator hood even more. on suncoast, it doesn't say the price of the predator hood... how much is it?

if anybody has the big block or predator hood, how does it fit? and where did you get it? and one more thing, is it C.A.P.A. certified?

no... that's what they're charging to get the hood, paint it to match, install it, everything else. we have some contacts ;) .

btw, i was looking at the computer when i got 4 different estimates, one a GM dealer, one a ford dealer (don't ask), and the other two were individual shops. all four of them, it said the exact same price to the penny for the hood from GM. $672.15
