    Me and my friend were talking to this guy who does exhausts. He said that he could make my friends Sunfire sound like a 73 Stingray by taking the muffs off and putting straight pipes and putting a piece of square bar in the exhaust. Then he said the Sunfire have a CR of 14:1. I was like WTF, but of course his Chevelle had a CR of 16:1. What the hell is this kid smoking, I don't think pump gas could be used in a motor with a CR that high. Oh oh and everytime you put a turbo or a supercharger in a car you ALWAYS have to raise the compression. I would love to see how long an engine will last with 15 lbs of boost and a CR of like 16:1. This guys an idiot.

      I've had "conversations" with people like that. VERY annoying because they know they are right and no amount of facts you show them will change their mind.

      Did you know I only gain maybe 10rwhp from my mods? I had a v8 tell me that. Also because I have a cutout open I only have 120 torque. Heard that too. Oo oo my favorite I can't turbo my car because they had to make the compression ratio on the 3.8L so high to give it any power (9.4:1 lol).

        lol....you're supposed to lower the compression on a supercharged or turbo'd engine. look at the morons who turbo their VTEC engines without lowering compression, the engines go VERY quickly.

            There is a guy on another board I am on that did that (turbo GSR)...he was going to lower his compression but before he got around to it he lost his engine. I think it cracked his block and head! Not fun.
