• Who else here is into Bodybuilding?

I've been Bodybuilding since I was 14 (2 years ago). My new routine consists of only Chest, Shoulders, Triceps, and Biceps, because my doctor said I should wait till I'm 18 to do my back, and lower body because I could seriously hurt myself.
Here is my new routine (for 2 more Months):
Lying One-Arm Tricep Dumbbell Press: 8 sets of 12-15 reps (I do my tricep exercises really slow to feel a burn, so it takes around an hour just for my triceps alone)
Barbell Curl (Biceps): 4-5 sets of 8 reps (I curl a lot of weight really slow so that's why I only do 4-5 sets)
Standing Dumbbell Lateral Raises (Shoulders): 5-6 sets of 8-10 reps (I increase the weight each set)
Dumbbell Flyes (Chest): 4-5 sets of 10-12 reps (I don't do bench press because again the doctor said I could seriously hurt myself, but I do it sometimes, and since I work my Triceps so much my max bench is 225 lbs. It would be a lot more if I did it more often.)
Then I drink a big Whey Protein Shake (about 150 grams of protein), and 2 Multivitamin pills. I do all of the above EVERY Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
So my question is who else here is into Bodybuilding, and if you are could you give me a quick rundown on your routine? Thanks!

i have a weight training gym class in school and we are in the gym 4/5 days a week. i had it last year also, and i can definitly say that i have become a lot stonger over the last 2 years. i also have a bench press and some dumbells at my house. We change our programs every 6 weeks, so i have done a lot of differnet exercises.

I just started back at the gym for the first time in about 6 months. I lost EVERYTHING too! I wouldn't say I'm I am a bodybuilder or anything though. I just go to stay in shape and try to gain a little muscle. I take after my dad so I'm thin and don't have the genetics to get real big. I have to work extemely hard to do it, and to be honest with a family and full time job and all, I just don't have the time, money or motivation to get too crazy with it. I usually go 3-4 times a week, M-W-F and either sat or sunday, depends which day I'm not playing golf, LOL.

I'm no expert on this at all. But anything you do can hurt you. I would do back, legs, chest and all. Just becareful and do it the right way, use less weight to keep your form good. I mean, you can hurt yourself d oing any exercise, just keep good form and don't worry about how much weight you are lifting. You always see these people in the gym trying to impress everyone with their strength, and they aren't even doing the $hit properly. As young as you are, you should see improvements pretty quick ( I know I did when I was in High School), and there's nothing worse than seeing some guy with huge arms and shoulders and all, then have these little chicken legs. Or huge arms and underdeveloped chest, it just looks weird.

I usually take 2 protein shakes a day also. But mine are 40 grams per. I have always been told to get about a gram per lb of your weight. I only weight 175, so with the shakes, protein bars, and the food I eat, that's about what I get.

How did you get into bodybuilding? Is it for a particular sport or something? Or just something you wanted to do?

Well, I'm getting to where I was before, with a bit more muscle. I'm just trying to loose more fat so I can get ready for Natural Bodybuilding contest in April or June of next year.

I suffered from leg, shoulder and back injuries from doing heavy weights. My form and training routine is much better now. But the pains are still there.

Toda losing the fat has gotten harder. I guess that's what happen when you get old, married, work 2 jobs and don't have time to eat properly. I think preparing for a contest will help me get more motivated and back into shape again.

I developed this site for people who are into drugfree bodybuilding. www.hitbodybuilding.com

Good Luck on your training.

Well when I was 13 to 14 I was around 5'11" and a little over 240-250 lbs! So I decided it was time to lose weight, so I started to workout, and lost around 90 lbs. At around 14 1/2 I was 6' 155-160 lbs, and I thought I was WAY to thin, so I started Weightlifting for around 12 to 13 months and got up to around 180 lbs. Then I thought what the h*** I want to get big, so I started Bodybuilding, and now six months later at 16 I'm 6'2" at around 210 lbs. My ONLY two hobbies are my car (Eleanor), and bodybuilding.
