  • New Hemis 350 or 360?

Last night me and a few friends were standing around and this older guy comes up and starts talkin to my friend about his 2003 quad cab hemi 5.7l. He keeps saying its a 360.

So before u know it were all arguing about it. Im saying its a 350. Most of my friends are saying its a 350. We looked in the trucks manual and everything under the hood. Nothing said it was a 350. The older guy kept saying different makes and models have different CI's of 5.7ls.. Ive always been told a 5.7 is a 350.

Sooo any experts on this? Also what are yaulls first thoughts on this? Hemi 5.7l a 350 or a 360?

The 5.7 Hemi is 345 cid according to this formula: cid = (Pi * ((Bore/2)^2) * Stroke)* # of Cylinders

Someone feel free to correct me if my information is wrong.

The Hemi replaced the 5.9 (360) in the Dodge trucks. It's 5.7L, 345cid

They are all basically 350's. It's just rounded up to sound better.

the NEW hemis in the SRT-8's are 6.1L, 425/445 i believe with cylinder drops on the highway like the northstars... so they now have somewhat decent MPG's

The SRT-8 models don't get the DOD (Displacement on Demand) system on them.
