I look at it like this:
If he had committed a felony, weather he lived a rich life or lived in the street, his *** would be thrown in prison for the same amount of years. why should this be any different? Its not like this was a pure accident, in a collision 99.99999999% of the time there was human error, meaning there was something he could have done to prevent this. But he didn't. he screwed you and your letting him off the hook. I do commend you for your sympathy for the guy. I truly do. If I had a lot of money I would like to think I would be caring enough to let him off too. But I don't. In a sense he stole your car from you and doesn’t have the money to get you another one. and that’s just wrong.
