5 years here, quit for now though. No real time in college and working but Im gonna lace them up soon enough.

4 years in HS and a year+1/2 in Juniors. Highest I got was Junior B team. I did goto a Junior A mini camp for 3 days and it was pretty insane. I was only 16 at the time and most guys were like 19-22, I went for the experience and it was worth it. I actually stopped the most breakaways in the final fun breakaway contest we had, even though I was the worst goalie letting in 3 bad goals during one of the periods. (Ill admit it I was no superman going against these crazy big guys). In Junior A, it seemed that hockey was most of these guys life. Most didnt goto college, they were hoping for some team to pick them up and make it to the NHL and make cash. The one other goalie I came friends with there got an offer from Syracuse to come tryout. He was wicked fast and had such a fast butterfly it was crazy.

Cap Raeder (San Jose Sharks Asst Coach/scout) always came back to the local rink where Mike Richter use to play and held a mini camp too. That was awesome fun and a great experience.

Think we have 2 other guys that play hockey here. Another goalie and hockeyman from Philly w/a Camaro. I played mostly for fun, it was great. I have to go back one day.

Had to beat me.... had to roof it. I played a quick low butterfly all the time.

Ya Roller hockey was no weenier sport either. Sure not that much contact like ice hockey but it was still intense. I grew up playing roller hockey since I was like 9, then finally when I was 13-14 I went to ice hockey. I played roller hockey daily in the neighborhood and thats where I got my start. Next your gonna diss on floor hockey in the house? AWH MAN my neighbor and I had awesome games with that LOL. Ya get the little stick with a soft ball and go crazy. (Ya I was younger at the time, I dont do it now.... lol)

            I'm the other goalie

I have been playing ice hockey since I was 5 years old. I play goalie. After I graduated high school in 92, I got a tryout invite with the Hampton Roads Admirals of the East Coast Hockey League. I actualy made the team as back-up goalie, but the Capitals sent down a contracted player for reconditioning, and, well, I got waived. No other teams pick me up off waivers, so I just decided to play at the local rink on a bar league.
Ice hockey has just gotten too expensive now at about $625.00 for a 30 game season around here, so I have been playing inline hockey for the last 3 years.
here is a pic of our team. I'm on the bottom row, second from left.

I currently play college club hockey - got about 3 more seasons until I graduate. I love the sport - can't imagine live without it.

                  Weekly here in Tucson.

And hockey down here rocks - no better place to be when it's 110F outside, I can just lay out on the ice.

Pretty decent crowd, since there's so many northern transplants (like me) living here.

i played for about 9 years, had to quit because i've dislocated my shoulder 4 times, broke it once and tore the rotator cuff and have now had 2 surgeries, so my hockey days are about over. Although i am looking at getting into the adult mens league we have here locally just so i can keep playin because i love the sport. non-checking, which would be better for the shoulder.

Suffered a strained MCL in the right knee about 9 years ago, broken right arm about 3 years ago after getting hit with the puck and 2 minor concussions from being rammed into by forwards or my own defensmen.
