So what are some good years/models we should be looking at. I know jack crap about trucks

Without knowing more info, the only advice I can say watch out for 94-02 Dodge trucks - they can be money pits. Don't ask me how I know
Also, watch out for fords w/ auto trannys. We all know about Ford autos
She just wants a truck so she can sit high. She's just gonna be using it to drive to and from work, so shes not gonna be hauling anything with it. It also needs to be an extended cab for when she's babysitting.
And get on AIM *****!

Well, thats just for the tranny. The car really needs like 4k more of work. It's a 92 Voyager with the paint half gone

The '99-02 Chevy/GMC half-ton ext cabs w/ the suicide doors are very nice trucks. She should be able to pick up a 2wd one for $10-12k and the interiors are comfy & roomy, and the Vortec engines of that era are powerful enough since she's not doing heavy towing.
