• College Food

This thread is aimed at the people who are in college.

What do you guys eat that quick and easy to make? What do you basiclly live on?

My old room mate used to live off those 1.99 personal pan pizzas you get at Wal Mart.

Corn dogs, chicken, taquitos, and the easiest of all, chili dogs.
You want something fast.. just put some hot dogs in the microwave, some chili on the stove, you have dinner in < 5 minutes.

Sunday night I had Monterey Chicken. I grilled chicken breasts on my grill and topped them with a sliced grilled tomato Monterey cheese and bacon and sautéed mushrooms. I also fixed a ceaser salad, roasted some garlic and my girlfriend fixed broccoli and rice casserole. Pretty average meal here.

You buy a loaf of bread (white/wheat/low carb it's up to you). Then you buy a jar of peanut butter (creamy/chunky also up to you). Then you take two slices of bread and add peanut butter to taste. MmmMmmmm, college food!

ORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

You can take a metal tray, lay out several slices of bread, put a slice of cheese on each slice of bread (I suggest Velvetta since it tastes the best but any brand will do) and put it in the oven on Broil. Sit back and be sure to keep an eye on it, when you see the cheese get melty and start to bubble a little you pull it out and enjoy!

If actually using an oven or making the food yourself is too hard there's always chicken pot pies! You can buy them at your neighborhood grocery store. Burritoes are also a good choice as you can buy them for like 30 cents a buritto.

$1.99 dayum, that's the fancy stuff, I go for the $.96 totinos pizzas Tonight I made chicken. Chicken breasts, stovetop and cheddar cheese soup all thrown in a pan, good stuff. Usually I live off of turkey sandwiches and cerial :D

i live off of fast food and microwave dinners. i can't cook, but once in awhile i'll get burgers and cook them on my foreman grill. the only nice meals i eat are when my roommates cook or when i go home to visit my parents.

I went through phases in college. First phase was Ramen noodles and bologna sandwiches. Then it was Easy Mac and cereal. The final phase was the 30 cent burritos, pizzas and kool-aid.

Fast food all the way. One of those non-cooking people.

foreman grill... 4 oz steaks cooked one at a time

spaghetti is super easy, then you have your mac and cheese and hamburger helper staples naturally. i also like to make chicken a la king- 8x10 casserole dish, two cans of veg-all, and a cooked chicken... whip up some bisquick biscuits and place them on top of the veg-all and chicken (which you mixed together earlier to make a sort of soupy mess) in the casserole dish. throw the whole shmear in the oven for 20 minutes at 350, and voila! mmm mm mmm
