I don't know about the older bikes, but if you stick to a sport tourer and not a super sport bike, then whatever you get is going to be comfortable. Like, the new Honda F4I's, Katanas and YZF600R's.
It's a trade off. Comfort for power. What kind of money you looking to spend?
Im not sure what you mean when you say its an upright bike?<a href=\"http://dpo.rpaisley.com/displayfile.do?file_id=11856&size=ORIGINAL\" target=\"_blank\">05 GTO</a><br /><a href=\"http://dpo.rpaisley.com/displayfile.do?file_id=2825&size=ORIGINAL\" target=\"_blank\">97 W68</a><br /><a href=\"http://dpo.rpai

Ok, well I own a 93 600. I've bought a new sportbike within the last few days and I can tell you the katana it still amazing. You will never appreciate the seating comfort until you try riding another sportbike for a long period of time. As far as engine problems, it runs great for a bike with over 46,000 miles. It is running a little rich and you cant just turn a screw to adjust that, you have to buy a carb kit (in the $80 range). I didnt buy the kit instead I just clean my plugs like once every two months. I dont know if the newer ones are fuel injected but that would be nice if they are. When buying one, check everything in your power to see if it was ever dropped. Look for scratches and mismatching plastics. If it was laid down dosent necessarily mean its a bad bike, just thoroughly inspect the frame and forks. Try to ride a friends bike a bunch so that you feel comfortable test riding a bike you are looking to buy. Make sure it is stable at speeds over 50 mph. There is fast, too fast, and way too fast. Way too fast is almost fast enough.

Go find you a salvage bike you can get them cheap wiht just plastic damage and if you drop them it isn't such a big deal.
All Katana's have carbs they are still old school air cooled GSXR motors.
