Ha ha ...I feel the same way.

But I'm keeping my birds till the day I die. It was my first love and it will be my last.

I hope to either get an LS1 by next year or an 1989 350 Formula and do a Knight Rider conversion or a 1968 400 Firebird. I feel like I'm leaning towards the '89 Formula. I'm more of a 3rd gen. fan.

37 here. I love the looks of a souped up Camaros or Trans Ams with an intimidating exhaust sound. I love the low insurance rates now too. Setting my sights on an black rear split window '65 Corvette or selling my soul for the Z06.

            WOW! Thanx for everyone's responses!!!

I'm with everyone else to say "Who cares what other people think." I've owned four Firebirds for my driving pleasure and would like to continue, but will be harder to find another good one down the road that's not beat to hell. My first car at 17, was a 1979 Malibu classic. Bought it myself, paid insurance and all that jazz. It wasn't untill my third car I finally got my first hot rod, so to speak, a 1980 Formula Firebird. Then a '86 'Bird, then a '99, now my current 2002. I drove the first 3 'Birds through the winters, and that rotted them. That's why I have a winter car now. These are beautiful, and sexy cars, I think others that say "Arn't you a lil' old for that?" are simply just jealous. Besides, now that I am older, my insurance is down to $220 for 6 months, half what I paid when I was 17 - woo-hoo.

Once again, Thank you everyone, Paul

              19. I'm damn poor but I pay insurance, gas, and maintainence for the Camaro.

I've been told with a goatee I look 22-23 since I have more than my fair share of gray hairs. No one's ever said that I'm a spoiled little rich kid, and if they did I'd probably beat some sense into them

29, and personally, I think 4th gens are sexy @$$ cars, ever since I saw a trans am back in 94. most everything I see on the streets are just blah (except C5s, the occaisional C6, GTOs, and late 60's Camaros). I'm gonna roll mine 'til it can't roll anymore, or get a newer one.

I suppose I fit the horrible spoiled kid description. I don't pay for the payments on my car or my insurance. Although I used pay for my insurance back when it was quadrouple what it is now. I pay for everything else though, gas, mods, cleaning supplies, and mainentence.

Guess I'm the *** who gives ya'll a bad rep!
