Well, the past week has been one fiasco/adventure after another. I got my headers in last week. Well i decided to rush the project and get the exhaust installed before this past weekend which was the east coast f-body nationals. Well, Wed. night i got the stock exhaust manifolds off. Thrusday i got the headers most of the way in. Well, friday I decided it would be fun to snap the middle upper bolt on the drivers side in the head. Plus i was having trouble with a couple lower bolts on that side going in cross threaded. I ended up leaving for NJ without the camaro :( . On friday, I had made plans to meet up with Kristen and Pummel (i think thats his name on this board) in philly at their house to pick up some drag radials and rims for my car that i bought off her. We had a ton of fun, I thought we'd just stop and shoot the breeze for a while cuz i still had a 2 hour drive into NJ to get to my uncle's house where i was staying for the weekend. Well, 5 or so hours later, after we went out with Kristen and Shawn and got dinner and continued to shoot the breeze, i finally left. (btw, thanks kristen and shawn for all of your hospitality. We had a great time, and thanks for dinner, we owe ya one.) Finally at 2:30 a.m. after 6 hours of total drive time (from Syracuse NY, to Philly, then from philly to Glen Gardner NJ) we arrived at my uncles house and passed out. Sat, was nothing to really talk about, we (my best friend who went with me) lounged around my uncles house for a bit. Ended up seeing how much Arizona Green Tea with Ginsing and honey i could drink... made it through about 3/4 of a gallon of it...was wired till about 6:30 am. Rolled out of bed at 10:30 ish and headed out to the nationals. To be honest i was quite disappointed in the turnout. I arrived around noon and it looked like a ghost town. there was less than 15 cars in the car show and like 30 that were racing. there was only like 2 v6's running...i was so sad cuz i could have done well in that class...I met Tim aka njspder. And headed home a little after 2 ish. I think the heat and humidity played a role in it (95+* and 80+% humidity, along with 75% chanced of thunderstorms.) Overall, a fun weekend. It was nice to meet you 3. Thanks again for all of your hospitality, and i hope to see you guys again.
Now, for a second rant. I'm reading only like 5 people are interested in A.S.S. v1.5. I know tim worked hard along with a few others to pull that show together with kind of a crappy turnout. I hate to see another show sponsored by another board member have a bad turnout. Check the National Events Section for more info, please.
