One word: PROTEIN. You need to be consuming at least one gram of protein each day for each pound you weigh. If you weigh 125 lbs, you need to take in 125 grams of protein daily. You can do this with shakes, bars, or just eating a lot of meat and/or tofu. Short of the illegal and moronic use of steroids, lots of protein is the only thing that'll do it. Watch what you are eating and consider adding a supplement like a shake or bar.

Fish and Steak. Also ive been eating a Snickers Marathon before i start to lift. It seems to help a little.

It also depends on your workout. Do you do high reps with a decent weight? Or low reps (6-10) with a higher weight? Lower reps at a higher weight will help with gaining muscle mass.

protein, definately. im in the same boat as you, i lift a lot, do it right, and would never gain anything. until i started lifting real hard, and consuming about 200g of extra protein per day over and above what i ate. two double servings of protein shake (45G each shake), chicken patties, hot pockets, etc.

i started putting on about a pound and a half each week by doing that. i had never gained weight before.

im only 156 lbs still (i stopped hardcore lifting for a while), but can still bench a solid 215 and am very very strong.

solid 215 and very very strong is one heck of an oxymoron.

Look into creatine. If you're one of those who can't gain mass even with the right diet and workout then it might help you out. I have a few friends who use it and they see results from it.

Protein Protein Protein. Eat lots of chicken. And supplement your diet with a powder. I'm a big fan of Designer Whey -- it mixes with water better than anything else I've found and it tastes good. Plus, protein is cheap as balls.

Your ability to gain weight also depends on your body type. Read up on it.

Ditto to the protein! Creatine also helps me workout a little harder. I am 240 and bench a little over 300.

Creatine helped me a bunch. I am still in my cycle and can already tell from my performance and people telling me that I have gotten bigger. I say look into it. I was the same way, skinny and not that strong. Then I started lifting and I am at 235 from 215 and have gained some good mass. You should really look into it, I think it will help.

                              cell tech (protein drink)

it's helped me a lot and our little football star, cole corey, used it too. he got a full ride to michigan state. but yeah, a lot of the guys in my high school use cell tech and it works really good. at first, you'll feel a little fatter, but keep working hard and after your boost period, you'll start gaining muscle mass like mad.
