Sorry to hear man. Can you contact someone above her to see if she had proper grounds for termination or if your termination was approved by HR/responsible party.

Also, you said Indiana has no laws excepts for the ones listed... including SEX!!. If a female manager terminated you based on fraudulent reasoning (your attendance) then you can push the discrmination card on them.

      Very good advice.

Nice guys finish last. It took me 23 years to figure that out and the last 2 have been alot better since I quit being a Mr. Nice Guy and started to be more of an "A$$hole with a friendly face"

i think anyone who is in a management position and feels their job security is being threatened in anyway, will do their best to eliminate the competition. it sucks, but its survival of the fittest. sometimes you have to do the backstabbing to move up in a company, sometimes good old fashion hard work will get you there. then there is times where you have to finess between the two to get where and what you want.

im a finesser,i wont lie, if me and another person are after the same job i will do what i have to.

i learned a long time ago that if youre not cutthroat sometimes in life, you wont make it. ive been on your side of the fence Wes, and it sucks bad seeing people who arent as good as you taking jobs that you know you deserve and worked your d*** off to get. so i know exactly how you feel right now. just learn from this experience of getting screwed over and do what you have to do.

like i said, i once thought that going to work and busting my @ss would get me ahead in life. all it has gotten me is a bad back and 2 f'd up knees at age 22. i got tired of it. and tried out a few diffent tactics. the one above is getting ready to put me into a different tax bracket.

i feel bad for the others and all but i have bills to pay also.

dont lose pride in doing a good job and being a hard worker(i never will). its one of the few things in life that nobody can take from you and its a great quality in a person. i dont think you have problems getting another job. just remember to keep your friends close and your enemies even closer, because its always the person with the job you want that will F*** you.

Just remember- where ever you are, there's always going to be somebody with more power than the one you're talking to. Go above her head and get some answers. It sucks that it happened, but you'll move on and do something bigger and better

honestly this is a good thing...

We had a new manager come in and try and move in on my job. Its scary cuz I am 23, this guy is like 35-40 so he has experience on me, and people seem to trust "older" people more.

So whenever he does something to move in on my job I show him up. Do the same job better, quicker, and for less money and of course make my boss aware of it.

He was doing this to other managers as well(copying their computer files and such) so I informed the other managers of this to help out as well.

The guy is still around but he learned quickly to avoid my area of specialization.
