I am so sick of dumbasses on this board gettin all pissy about gettin pulled over for bein dumb or not paying attention while driving. You are just another instance of this.
School zones around me are 15mph. Do you know how easy it is for an officer to see a car doin triple that while every other car is goin 15?

Yeah some things in the justice system are just ****ed. I got a $210 ticket in Georgia I-95 Southbound for going 93 in a 70... I was trying to get home before the hurricane hit so I didnt get caught in it, and there were no cars within miles of me.
how did you get a ticket in Ga... no one obeys the speed limit there ...

I got a ticket in WI for speeding at 3am on a deserted highway .... 82 in a 60. The ticket was $212.60!! 12 over ... it was bogus. They musta taxed it too ... Ah well ...

I saw a kid get hit at my high school, some guy that had graduated a couple years before me picked up his girlfriend. Pulled off the lot speed up, took a left at the light. And I heard tires squeeling, and as soon as I looked over I heard "thud" and saw this kid fly over the hood and bounce off the windshield, like a rag doll.
I immediately pulled out my phone called 911 and ran up to the kid. He was unconcious, and other students started to approach I told everyone to get back and not touch him. I reached up to his neck to find a pulse and while weak he did have one, and he was breathing. Although when I approached him I didn't think he'd live. I ran maybe 50 feet. Was stunned for maybe 3 seconds after it happened, so maybe 10 seconds max. Before I got there. First I saw the stream of blood flowing down the blacktop. Most was coming from his leg which was snapped in two. The bone was exposed and the skin was ripped wide open. His face was bleeding from where he slid across the pavement I assumed, and piece of his scalp hung loosely off the side of his head. After I found a pulse and was sure he was breathing, I stepped back, and just stunned and shocked I watched as the blood trail from his head and face pooled by his arm, then snaked down the pavement to the trail coming out of his leg.
Luckily the kid lived, but walks with a severe limp.
I love to drive fast, I can't always go to the track, so I'll go out on some little curve county road. So if something would go wrong I know it will only be me, my car, and a guard rail, hill, etc. And speeding anywhere near traffic or pedestrians, is dangerous. No matter if it's 10mph or 25mph over the speed limit. You have to remember most people are oblivious idiots, how many times have you seen people step out into a street, then realize what they did and jump back quickly. Or I have seen people walk out into traffic without even looking and the vehicle have to lock up it's brakes, or swerve to avoid hitting the person.
i got a 35 in school zone and it cost me 100 bucks 25 for the ticket and 75 in court fees. :D i talked my way right out of it. the school zone lights started after i passed them. i was almost out when they started flashing and got clocked.

They were nice as hell, probably because I pulled over as soon as I saw them. Must have needed the money or something, it's alright though, because once I crossed into FL it was still empty as hell - the cops. [img]graemlins/rock.gif[/img]
