Alright, I do concede your point on MS vs. M$. I assumed and was incorrect, for that I apoligize. I won't use M$ however, I'd rather spell out Microsoft. Apparently you're on the "inside" when it comes to the NMCI, I'll leave that one alone.
As for the open source, yes it's more vulnerable to attack, and it's superior way to exploit the vast amount on knowledge that exists outside of a corporation's walls. You just have much more experience working for you when you allow everyone to scrutinize code. Do you think it'd be a good thing if Microsoft made their code open-source? I'd say with all the boneheads out there who have a grudge against Microsoft because they're successful would do everything in their power to drag down the OS.
