I hate it how stupid legislators create pieces of legislations about sh*t they don't have a slightest clue about.

If they DEMAND such stringent emission standards, then get off your FAT POLITICIAN AS*S and propose a technology that will meet such demands.

Good thing I don't live in CA... the most retarded state in US.

I wonder what would happen if all the auto makers boycotted California? New cars everywhere but CA.... that would be damned funny.

Dude, lately, you've been posting some really really stupid stuff. Just thought I'd let you know, incase you hadn't realized it.

This is a lose-lose situation for CA..
on one hand, people will be healthier, but how do you think this is going to affect the economy? They were going to put in a new plant here in Tulare, but the strict laws drove the business away and the business of other people as well.

The counties are already ready to fight the laws.. but I guess Arnie doesn't care about that.
As far as cars... they have the technology already, its just not cost efficient so thats why they aren't happy.

Even with all these emission law, So. Calif is still the most polluted place in the country. The problem is heavy congested fwy's. These darn toll roads are the culprits. I mean who wants to use 15 miles of toll road for $6.00 one way.

Did you hear about rolling the 30 year turn over for vehicles that doesn't have to get emission to 20 or 15. Jay Leno, the biggest car collector is asking Arnold S. not to pass it. And you know those two are buddies.

Actually, the majority of the smog stems from LA being surrounded by mountains (at least the valley) and it not having a good offshore/onshore current. The reason why Miami seems to have less fog is becuase the ocean actually filters most of our smog. LA doesn't have that luxury. Either way, LA's smog is disgusting, and yeah, emissions suck, but they're needed. You wouldn't want to live in LA if they took off all emissions laws (especially industrial).

I think LA's smog problem stems from 100,000 illegal mexicans driving around in poorly tuned 1972 Cadillacs

Yeah, you're right. San Bernardino is second and Riverside, third. Also take into consideration that Calif. doesn't get enough rain as well.

It's that and the mountains there.

Billings is flat and windy, and there's a 100,000 rednecks driving around poorly tuned 1972 pickups and we have no smog.

That's just great!!! That kinda limits what car enthusiasts can do to their cars even more. I'm freakin' out whether or not my car will pass once I get the turbo installed. Having to pass a smog check II is bad enough, implementing say a "smog check VI" or something of that nature is gonna be terrible. Just goes to show that Hybrid, and electric cars are taking over more and more everyday.
