Screw that -- my project is coming along. slowly, but its coming along. ;) Still working on that new motor buildup
Mustangs.. Come to the darkside...

The dark side is the path to the shadow of greed. =D
Ran 11.0 with my junkyard LS1 motor, stock heads/cam, naturally aspirated.
Today I spent time finishing up removing EVERY uneeded wire from the car. This includes ALL ABS, Air Bags, A/C, Heater, Traciton Control, Cruise.. every wire from the actual control unit to the power sources.. My ENTIRE car is gutted.
Maybe I will do 10's with a bone stock ls1 engine naturally aspirated and 9's with just heads/cam..

Hmmm, yup.... we must be talking about my SEXY neon right?
Well, I've been playing with the firebird a lot.
Doing many much needed repairs/ changes... but they have been minor.
1) relocating nitrous bottles to trunk
2) opening up nostrils on hood
3) reupholstering
4) wiring
5) suspension
6) etc
I don't have the want/ need to race as much in the summer. I've been enjoying life other ways throughout my summers.
The cool weather is around the corner.
I have oct/ nov basically booked for the track.
I will be spraying at SLP day seeking 11's.
I'm quite confident that 11's nitroused and 13's N/A are in store for me in the next couple months.
Don't worry, I'll be back..... just waiting for nicer weather :D
Race car - gone but not forgotten - 1997 firebird V6
nitrous et & mph: 12.168 & 110.95 mph, n/a 13.746 & 96.38 mph
2013 Dodge Challenger SRT8: 12.125, 116.45
2010 Ford Taurus SHO: no times yet
Waiting for pipes here to install FFF turbo. As soon as the turbo goes on the heads and intakes will be p/p. Awaiting install right now are LS1 valve springs, transgo shift kit and corvette servo, 3.42 and LSD, and as soon as I get around to ordering Walbro and TC they'll be going on. My goal is low 13's on stock suspension and low boost with no tuning.
If the engine and tranny doesn't explode this fall I'll be adding a small shot of nitrous, probably nothing bigger than a 50 shot.
Also, there are tons of new hardcore guys. Tueful (sp?) and a newer guy in the forced induction area just finished up their custom turbo projects. There's a few others who also have some custom jobs going on and not to mention the 10+ people who bought a FFF turbo kit. IMO the v6 fbody scene is growing with new advancements in forced induction.
but budget, and times been hitting me. Only thing holding me back from hitting the track every other week. Is my clutch situation. It slips at launch and 1-2 shift. Problem is its a sporadic problem, I will slam 2nd hard, and bark the tires, work great. Then sometimes it will slip and rev up on the 1-2 shift. MY times have varied from high 14s, to high 15s in the smae night, do to this. If you know me and my driving I am usually pretty consistant.
Problem is I drive it everyday normal, even my everyday driving which is pretty rough, I have no problems, even autocross still when I can work it into my schedule. I don't have the money to throw in a clutch to my car unless I am in dire need of it.
I actually was going to try changing the clutch fluid(see if its a cheap fixt to my clutch problem, maybe do the drill mod), and do tranny, brake, diff fluid as well. When I did the diff fluid, I was going to take a leap and go for my LSD install as well. BUt nights I went out to do, it, Ivan had done its loop back through florida as a tropical depression so it rained a bit.
I guess I might have some potential, I am really going to am for high 13s, n/a with stock internals. And I have 85% of a NOS wet kit with bottle heater sitting in my room at this moment, I need to get some jets, a bottle bracket, window switch, FPSS and just get it hooked up and running. But I just see it pointless to even remotely focus on it with n/a clutch problems.
Also some people might know I am also working on a t-top conversion, which actually woudl ahve been done by know if these hurricanes haven't been coming through. Lost wages from work and extra money spent going out more do to week long power outages, been having to hold off on the last $120 worth of stuff I need to finish it up.
I am still around, I likely will not keep this car forever like more hardcore people have been, but I really aim to hit a couple goals of mine in it.
I've been working on my 23 T-bucket.. hehehe 8-71 BDS Blower on a 454.. I'll be racing again when its done.

I run 13's all day long in my maro. With a 102mph trap speed, I could probably start thinking about getting into the 12's with some weight reduction.
I will admit that I am absolutley terrible at launching. Even with my drag radials, my best 60' is 1.87.
I guess since I don't post 20 times a day I don't get to be considered hardcore. It's all good though, I still stick up for the v6 community on the streets. I get props at the track from V8 guys every time I go.

Still trying to find oil leak on my Camaro, it’s a tough one. I think it is the oil pressure sender myself. Leaking when raving and going into boost....
