in my CD player right now is Slipknot's "Vol. 3: The Subliminal Verses." i like most of the songs on that album...#2 (forget the name) is an awesome driving song. "Duality" (#4) is a great song, I'd love to see it played live. rounding out the other good songs from this album are #'s 1,5,8,9,10,11, and 12.

I saw Element 80 play here in Jersey, with Sevendust. they put on a good show
"99 Steps Closer" - this was done by a DJ (web site www.alb3.com) who takes the a cappella version of a rap song, and then layers it over a rock song. This particular song is Jay-Z's "99 Problems" and Linkin Park's "One Step Closer" put together. awesome song.
"Nobody" - this song is from the band Skindred. i heard it on the radio, and for some reason it has caught my attention. It is such a weird song...not weird lyrically, but the style of it is strange. imagine 311, Korn, and a reggae band put together, and you'll have Skindred. this song starts off 311/reggae-ish, and then shifts into Korn with the chorus. it's weird, but it works very well. check it out.
"We're All to Blame" - by Sum 41. this is off their new album due out in October or so. it's different than most of their earlier stuff, more a metal song than skater punk. the riffs are hard and fast, and the drums are the same way. the chorus is slightly calmer and acoustic. it's nice to see something harder from these guys.
"Somebody Told Me" - by The Killers. this band seems to have come from a time warp from the '80s. an industrial-pop song, very catchy.
