  • Sigh... update... me and A.S.S.

    Bird is fine
    Neon is fine

    James is not :(

I've had osgood sclaters (sp) disease (cartilige related).... tendonitis....several surgeries in the past on my knee's : both got ortho.... left had knee cap relocated and 2 pins put in.

Well.... this past Tuesday night... I'm walking along.... and left one gave out.

I have never experienced such pain before in my life!

Well.... maybe 1-1.5 hrs later... went to ER.... X rays.... etc... pain killers...guess of cartilige problem at that point

Thursday... went to my doc who did the knee cap relocation.... more x rays... at that time... knee was too swollen and still too much pain for full check up. Looking at my leg.... you can't make out a knee cap at all. Guess of knee cap shifted... of piece of bone chipped off inside.... most likely more surgery :(

    Rescheduled for this Tuesday.

In the meantime..... ice.... painkillers....anti-inflamitory med's... leg brace... crutches...

    I can't drive right now.....

No operating of heavy machinery.... no drinking... no driving.... no f*cking nothing!

    BORED outta my mind!

I leave for Maryland/ A.S.S. on Thursday.... I'll be driven down there.

The bird didn't make it last year due to technical difficulties....

This year... bird is ready... driver is not :(

So... yes I will be there... w/o bird...

I really doubt that surgery would have to be right away.... cause I'm going back to doc on Tuesday.... oh well....

    CRAP!

Have doctor remove kneecap for 1/2 lb. weight reduction. ;) Knee injuries cause excruciating pain... Hope you recover quickly.

back in the day when I was playing soccer for high school in my freshman yea I was diagnosed with it in my left leg too. Its the reason I had to quit playing after that season. walking alone is hard, and its impossible to take steps!

the tendon and/or cartilige gets pinched between the bottom of your knee cap and the top of your shin. so moving your leg hurts real bad!

James yours sounds alot worse than mine, but I know the circumstances! Good Luck man!!

I too have osgood sclater in my right knee. Its the only thing that keeps me from playing football in high school. I still manage to lift weights. My knee only gives out when i do a lot of running.
